Check 2 Entertainment was started in mid-2013 by three full-time musicians who wanted to see a change in the way live music was being booked and performed.  The idea was to take a completely fresh look at the live "Entertainment Business" and raise the level of professionalism from all sides. We wanted venues and event coordinators to view acts as an investment, as a part of a team, and as an asset to their overall business. We also wanted acts to understand that they would need to improve their level of entertainment and professionalism to be a more valuable member of that team. We wanted to create an agency focused on building relationships of trust, honesty, transparency, and integrity.  We now, only represent venues and acts that align with these goals, matching the perfect act with the perfect venue.

The two behind the company.

Kevin Holmes - Kevin learned many instruments early on, and was already a professional musician before he finished high school. Audio engineering school led to many live sound installs, plus studio engineering and producing. At many of the major venues around Texas, Kevin ran sound for artists from a variety of genres, including regional and national touring acts. Though he has performed with hundreds of other artists, Kevin has been a key member in 4 bands, won numerous competitions and awards, and has over 15 years as a professional in the industry.

Danny Lopez - Danny started playing drums when he is was in the sixth grade. Being a percussionist took him everywhere from concert and marching band, to high school musicals and Scottish bagpipe drumming. From high school on, his ear for music grew and also years of experience as a drummer and singer in a various bands. This has given Danny a great ear for talent in the music industry.
